Rocket..Yeah! Satellite of Love Pt. 4

So I am calling this done. Maybe I will go back and update like I have with a few other pieces but right now I'm digging where its at now. Here are the final renders:

I've been getting a lot of emails and messages about what my wire frame looks like. So here you go. If you have followed or read any of my tutorials or articles I tend to let smoothing do a lot of the leg work so I have included but the wire frame not smoothed so you can see the shapes and typology and what the wire frame looks like after I smooth it out. 

And like any good artist, there are a ton of WIPs of renderings that just never made the cut. While they all had goods and bads here are some of the versions I had and some tests as well to show off lighting and material work.

So I was able to get more modeling done on this beast. The modeling is about 95% done with just a few odds and ends to fix up and take care of. I think it reads pretty well and once I get those parts out of the way, it's on to texturing and material work! Here are my current WIP shots.

Been a while since I've updated but here are a few more WIP shots of my rocket. Started adding in a bunch of detail and getting the "functioning" parts worked out. The real challenge here is to get to look detailed but simple to read. As you know looking at real rockets it can get insane will all the details you see all over the place. So its been a fun challenge!

Oh Def Leppard. Anyway been crunching at work so I haven't had too much time these last few weeks to work on this but I'm trying to get this thing done ASAP. My current project is a rocket and its gonna be a huge exercise in technical modeling. I'm excited about it! Here are a couple WIPs so far.

Still need to do some more renders but here is one of them. Might go back and tweak it later but I'm digging it.

Edit: I'm calling these for now. I like them. When i continue more with my project they will obviously change but for now I will call it good.

Edit 2: I upgraded my render software and retouched this mug again. I like it more

Robot pt 4 You gotta know when to quit and redesign

Yeah what i had was pretty boo boo. I hated it after I got up on my site for a few hours. I took them off and did a redesign. So here is where I am taking it now. These are VERY rough and over the next few days I will be adjusting materials lighting and so on and so on.

This is what I had and scrapped. here are a few shots. I hate all of them but you can see that the proportions looked awful, It wasnt pleasing. Technically it could work but I couldn't hang with how it looked in the end.
